Sreten Dukic,age 81, of Hot Springs died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at a local hospital. He was born on June 26, 1926 to the late Darinka Radivojevic Dukic and Radomir Dukic in Arandjelovac, Serbia. Sreten was a member of St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as of the Magic Golf, golf club. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Edith Dukic of Hot Springs, one son, Michael Dukic of River Forest, Illinois, two daughters and one son-in-law, Vera and Vasilios Roiniotis of Norridge, Illinois and Mirjana Dukic of North Riverside, Illinois. Three grandchildren, Olga Yovanovich, Nikola Yovanovich and Genevieve Skruodys, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation in Hot Springs Thursday, February 14, 2008. Visitation in Chicago on Sunday, February 17, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Sveta Gora, Serbian Orthodox Funeral Home, 3517 N. Pulaski Road in Chicago. Pomen (Wake Service) 7 p.m. at chapel. Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) Monday, February 18, 2008, 10 a.m. at Sveta Gora, Serbian Orthodox Funeral Home. Interment Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois. This death notice will always remain on the Internet as the everlasting remembrance of Sreten Dukic.

Dear Vera, I'm so sorry to read about your father's passing. I remember you would be so excited when the exiled King of Serbia came to Chicago because it was your father he choose to be his driver. You father was an excellent driver and was kind to do it for the King. A hard worker with a fast, handsome smile, that was him.
