V. Rev. Stavrophor Dr. Nedeljko Grgurevich, age 74, reposed in the Lord on July 23, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dubravka, sons, Svetozar and Stefan, daughter-in-law, Mary, grandchildren Luka, Marko, and Maya, and many other relatives and friends. He was born on August 6, 1934 in Foca, former Yugoslavia to the late Bosko and Jovanka Grgurevich. The V. Rev. Grgurevich, well-known as Father Ned, faithfully served the Serbian Orthodox church as the Bishops Deputy of the Eastern American Diocese, dean and professor at the St. Sava School of Theology (Libertyville, IL), and pastor at St. Nicholas (Johnstown, PA), St. George (Elizabeth, NJ), and Holy Resurrection (Steubenville, OH). Father Ned will lie in state at the St. Mark Orthodox Church, 7124 River Rd., Bethesda, MD on Sunday, July 26, 2009 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm., followed by Divine Liturgy on Monday, July 27 at 8:00 am. The funeral liturgy will begin on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 9:00 am at the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 32377 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, IL. A memorial luncheon will be held at the New Gracanica Monastery, 35240 N. Grant St., Third Lake, IL following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Luke Church Building Fund, 10660 River Rd., Potomac, MD. Memory eternal.
