Vasilije Vuckovich, age 93, loving husband of 64 years of Zlatka, nee Perhavec; caring father of Milenko-Misho (Katarina); proud grandfather of Milan, Mateja and Mihailo. Serbian Army artillery officer, 58th class of 1993, II WW veteran. As POW Vasilije spent four years in Nazi concentration camp in Germany. On April 6th 1945 freed by the Third US Army under General Patton. Fervent anti-communist, member of the Serbian National Federation, president of Serbian National Defense Council Local Chapter St. Louis, president of Serbian Brothers Help Local Chapter St. Louis, Church Board President of the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in St. Louis. Visitation Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. at Sveta Gora, Serbian Orthodox Funeral Home, 3517 N. Pulaski Road in Chicago. Pomen (Wake Service) 7 p.m. at chapel. Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) Friday, June 16, 11 a.m. at New Gracanica Monastery, Third Lake Illlinois. Interment Most Holy Mother of God Cemetery.
