Vuko Dragovich, 91, passed away in Melvindale, Michigan, on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Born on August 12, 1922 in Dicici, Kuci, near Podgorica in Montenegro to Bosko and Danica Dragovich.
Vuko is survived by his Niece, Vasiljka Raicevic of Sweden; Great-Niece, Viki Raicevic of Sweden; Grand Nephew, Radovan Raicevic of Sweden and Nephew Miso Raicevic of Montenegro along with other relatives in Serbia and Montenegro as well as many Kumovi and friends throughout the United States, Мontenegro, Serbia and world-wide.
The family received friends on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 2 PM to 8 PM, Pomen, Serbian Orthodox Wake Service, conducted at 7 PM at the Ballheim Chapel – Simple Funerals, 4120 W. Jefferson Ave., Ecorse, MI 48229.
Opelo, Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service for Vuko Dragovich, took place on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Ascension Serbian Orthodox Church, 4337 W. Jefferson Ave., Ecorse, MI 48229. Fr. Andrei Alexiev and Fr. Dragan Micanovic served.
Following the services at the church in Ecorse, Michigan a Dacha, Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon, was held beginning at 1:30 PM, catered by Stefans Catering, (new location) located at St. Michaels Russian Church Hall, 26355 W. Chicago Road (Between Beech Daly and Inkster Roads), Redford, MI 48232 (313-565-2088).
Pomen Service took place on Wednesday, April 23 at 2 PM in the New Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery located at 35240 W. Grant Ave., Third Lake, Illinois 60046.
Interment Most Holy Mother of God Cemetery. MEMORY ETERNAL.
