With immeasurable sorrow and grief, we inform family, colleagues, and friends that the young and noble heart of Aleksandar Conić, born on June 19, 1991, in Leskovac, Serbia, to father Slaviša and mother Snežana Conić, stopped beating in a tragic traffic accident that occurred on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in the city of Cartersville, state of Georgia. Memory eternal.

Family and friends in America bid farewell to the deceased Aleksandar on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Sveta Gora Serbian Orthodox Funeral Home, 3517 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60641.

Mali Pomen (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Service) was held at 7:00 p.m. at Sveta Gora.

Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) and burial will take place in Aleksandar’s native Leskovac.

Aleksandar was a wonderful father, a beloved husband, and a sincere friend. He was a man of great heart, always ready to help others, hardworking, and devoted to his family. His sudden departure has left an immense void and pain that is difficult to describe in words.

He leaves behind a wife and two young sons, to whom Aleksandar was their entire world.

In these most difficult moments, we wish to provide support to his family and help them get through the days ahead. The funds raised through this campaign will be intended for funeral expenses and financial assistance to the family, so they may have at least some relief during this painful period.
