Borivoje Tomic passed away peacefully in Park Ridge on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the age of 86. Born on October 10, 1926 in Pavlovac, near Vranje in Serbia to Dimitrije and Mladena Tomic. Beloved husband of Nada, loving father of Zorica (Jovan) Zistakis and Dragan (Kosovka) Tomic, proud grandfather of Nikola and Elena Zistakis and Aleksandar and Ivan Tomic, dearest uncle to Ljuba and Jelena, loving brother-in-law to Dobrinka and Vera Tosic. Borivoje will be sorely missed by numerous other family members, Kumovi and friends in the Fatherland, the USA and world-wide. Visitation Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Sveta Gora, Serbian Orthodox Funeral Home, 3517 N. Pulaski Road in Chicago. Pomen (Serbian Orthodox Wake Service) 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is planned for Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Bezanijsko Cemetery in Belgrade, Serbia.
