Jovanka Nikolić, 86, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. Born on July 19, 1935 in Debelo Brdo, Yugoslavia, to father Buda and mother Jelena Hinić.

Dearly beloved wife of the late Slobodan “Danče”, loving mother of Sanja (Michael Wilson) and Aleksandra (Michael Gillespie), proud “Baka” of Matthew, Patrick, Thomas, and Mark.

Jovanka will be greatly missed by families Nikolić, Hinić, Wilson and Gillespie, as well as numerous other family members, kumovi and dear friends throughout ex-Yugoslavia, the USA and worldwide.

Her intelligence, kindness and hospitality will forever stay with all of us who knew her. Memory eternal.

Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the St. Sava Monastery, 32377 Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville, IL 60048.

Interment St. Sava Cemetery.

After the funeral, Dacha (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon), will be served at the New Gračanica Monastery, 35240 N. Grant Street, Third Lake, IL 60046.
