Jovo Ostojić, 87, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024. Born on January 6, 1937 in Bosanska Bojna to father Risto and mother Mara Ostojić. Memory eternal.

Dearly beloved husband of Mileva; loving father of Nikola, Mirko Ostojić and Nada Katić; proud grandfather of Nikola and Nebojša Katić.

Jovo’s kind and generous heart will be sorely missed by numerous other family members and dear friends in the Fatherland, the USA and worldwide.

Visitation Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at Sveta Gora Serbian Orthodox Funeral Home, 3517 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60641.

Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) will take place on Monday, December 16, 2024 - 11 a.m. at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 N. Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL 60046.

Following Opelo, interment will take place at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Cemetery.

After the interment, Daća (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon) will be served at the Monastery.
