Milun Panovich, 91, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Born on November 8, 1934 in Ratina near Kraljevo in Serbia to father Desimir and mother Rajka Panovich. Memory eternal.

Loving father of Aleksandar Panovich, Andjelka (William) Herman, Malina (Brady James) Panovich and Tatiana (Christopher Alvarenga) Panovich; proud grandfather of Benjamin, Marko and Sofia Panovich and Demetrius Alvarenga; caring brother of Radoslav Panovich; ex husband of Dr. Lorraine Sommerfeldt; long time partner of Dragana Starinčević.

Milun will be sorely missed by numerous other relatives and dear friends in Serbia, the USA and worldwide.

Visitation Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sveta Gora Serbian Orthodox Funeral Home, 3517 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60641.

Mali Pomen (Serbian Orthdox Wake Service) at 2 p.m. at Sveta Gora.

Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) Monday, May 18, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 32377 N. Milwaukee Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048.

Interment at the St. Sava Cemetery.

Following interment, Daća (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon) for the repose of Milun’s noble soul will be held at the Nova Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 W. Grant Avenue, Third Lake, IL 60046.
