Radovan Panovich, “Rado”, from Albany Park in Chicago, passed into eternal life on Friday, April 12, 2013 with his family by his side. He was born February 28th, 1928 in Ratina, Serbia and was a resident of Albany Park for the past 39 years. Dearly beloved husband of Genevieve Panovich; loving father of Mihailo Panovich, Bogdan Panovich and Ljubica Skopac; dear grandfather of Jadyn, Alexandra, Radovan and Anthony. Great – grandfather of Holden, Madison, Lorali and Eva. Fond brother of Slavoljub, Bozidarka and Desanka. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Radovan Panovich was a caring family man and a carpenter of all trades who loved to build things and learn many languages. Memory eternal. Visitation Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Sveta Gora, Serbian Orthodox Funeral Home, 3517 N. Pulaski Road in Chicago. Pomen (Serbian Orthodox Wake Service) 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the New Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 North Grant Avenue, Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment at The Most Holy Mother of God Cemetery.
