Smilja Davidovac, age 89, passed away Thursday morning, January 30th, 2025. Memory eternal.
Beloved wife of the late Milovan, loving mother of Dragiša (Barbara) and Blagoje "Mića" (Zorka); cherished grandmother of Goran "Spaz" (Aleksandra "Beba"), Olivera (Ninoslav) Mitić, Branislav (Aleksandra "Anja"), Suzana (Aleksandar) Bjelić, and Milovan; great grandmother of Maksim, Luka, Stefan, Lana, Anastasija, Lazar, Nina, Miloš, Sofija, and Nikola; dear sister to Rada Stefanov and sister in law Slobodanka, loving family member to all her family, Djudjini, inlaws “Lalikini” and Kumovi in Vojvodina, Serbia the USA and worldwide.
Smilja was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3rd with Pomen (Wake prayer Service) at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral located at 5701 North Redwood Drive, Chicago, IL 60631.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, February 4th at Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 5701 N. Redwood Drive, Chicago, IL 60631.
Interment New Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Cemetery, 35240 W Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL 60030.
After the interment, Daća (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon), will be served at the monastery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be used at the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral and the St. Sava Academy.
