Tomislav-Miki Knežević, 87, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Born on July 16,1937 in Goražde, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to father Nenad and mother Stajka Knežević. Memory eternal.
Miki’s noble and generous heart will be sorely missed by his niece Marina and her son Stefan, as well as by numerous other family members, Kumovi, colleagues and dear friends in Serbia, the USA and worldwide.
Visitation Monday, February 24, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sveta Gora Serbian Orthodox Funeral Home, 3517 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60641.
Opelo (Serbian orthodox Funeral Service) will be held at 6 p.m. at Sveta Gora.
Interment private.

My name is Michael Minkovski and I knew Mickey for more than 50 years. Mickey was a friend of mine and a friend of all Bulgarian people who knew him. I was with Mickey in December, and he made some pleskovitza for us. We had a glass of wine together. I enjoyed his comments and his humor. I know that I will miss him.
I have wonderful memories of times spent with Miki. Srpska Bratska Pomoc, Miomir's and Simplon. If a good time was to be had, you know that Miki was there. He touched many lives over the years. I will miss his sense of humor and the jokes he told. They don't make them like that anymore. Rest in peace my friend and thank you. Vjecnaja Pamjat
