V. Rev. Stavrophor Živko Kajević

V. Rev. Stavrophor Živko Kajević, age 79, reposed in the Lord on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Born on June 19, 1942 in Banjane, South Serbia, to father Nedeljko and mother Stoja Kajević. Memory eternal.

Fr. Živko is survived by his loving wife Petkana, daughter Jelena (George) Bailey-Kirby, son Danilo Kajević, Sister Trajanka Darda, brother V. Rev. Stojiljko (Jelica) Kajević, nephews Mihajlo, Jovan and Djordje Darda.

Fr. Živko’s kind and generous heart will be sorely missed by his loving parishioners, other family members, numerous Kumovi, dear friends, brother priests and by anyone who knew him.

V. Rev. Stavrophor Živko Kajević, faithfully served the Serbian Orthodox Church as the parish priest of the St. Petka Serbian Orthodox Church in Troy, Michigan.

Divine Liturgy for V. Rev. Stavrophor Živko Kajević will take place on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at 2021 at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 W Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL 60046, to be followed by Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Service).

Interment at the Most Holy Mother of God Cemetery.

After the interment, Daća (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon) will be held at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery.
