Zdravco Petrov, 71, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Born on March 22, 1954 in Dinias Romania as the only child of Dušan and Milca Petrov. Memory eternal.
In search of freedom and prosperity, Zdravco attempted several times to escape from communism in Romania. At the age of 30 he succeeded in bringing his wife and two daughters to the USA, where his third daughter was born.
Beloved son of Milca; loving husband of Draghita; caring father of Vesna, Iasna and Maria; proud grandfather of Anastasija, Jovan, Sofia, Luka, Ella Nora, Melania and Teodor.
Zdravco will be sorely missed by numerous other family members and dear friends in the USA and across the ocean in Romania.
Visitation Friday, September 12, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 W Grant Ave. Third Lake IL 60046.
Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) 12 noon at the monastery.
Daća (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon) was held immediately following the burial at the monastery.
