Dobrila Knežević, age 91, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Born on August 7, 1934 in Prilep, Yugoslavia, to father Živan and mother Slavka Ristić. Memory eternal.
Dearly beloved wife of the late Lazar Knežević; loving sister of Miroslav Ristić ; fond sister in law of Vera Ristić; caring aunt of Filip, Živan (Tijana), Aleksandra and Aleksandar Ristić and Taša Isaak; dear great aunt of Petra and Mia Ristić.
Dobrila’s kind and generous heart will be sorely missed by numerous family members, kumovi and dear friends in Serbia, the USA and worldwide.
Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) took place on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 32377 N. Milwaukee Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048.
Interment St. Sava Cemetery.
