Jelenka Varagić, 93, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Born on October 22, 1929 in Donja Bioča, Hadžići, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to father Djordjo and mother Stana Andrić. Memory eternal.

Dearly beloved wife of Sreten Varagić; Loving mother of Dragica (Nikola) Gligorević; Nevenka (Stevo) Jerkić; Proud grandmother of Ognjen (Sandra) Gligorević, Olivera (Ranko) Stanković, Jelena Jerkić and Jovan (Ana) Jerkić; Caring great-grandmother of Milan, Milica, Nikolina, Jovan and Nevena.

Jelenka’s kind and generous heart will be sorely missed by numerous other family members, kumovi and dear friends in the Fatherland, Australia, Canada, the USA and worldwide.

Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) Friday, August 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 N Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL 60046.

Following Opelo, interment will take place at the Most Holy Mother of God Serbian Orthodox Cemetery.

After the interment, Daća (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon) will be served at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery.
