It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ljubo Savčić, 60, who passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Born on June 11, 1965 in Čičevo, Konjic municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to father Branko and mother Krstinja Savčić. Memory eternal.

Dearly beloved husband of Gordana; loving father of Radovan, Aleksandra and Tomislav; proud son of Krstinja; caring nephew of Radmila; loving brother of: Vlado (Dragana), Drago, Mirko, Milenka (Vlado), Božana (Philip) and Sonja (Nedeljko).

Ljubo will be sorely missed by families Savčić, Bovan, Papić and Magazin, as well as by numerous other family members and dear friends in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the USA and worldwide.

Visitation took place on Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. at the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 5701 N Redwood Drive, Chicago, IL 60631.

Mali Pomen (Serbian Orthodox Wake Service) 7 p.m. at the Cathedral.

Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Services) began the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 32377 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville, IL 60048.
