Rada Ivančević Holden, 89, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Born on October 2, 1936 in Poćitelj, Lika to father Jova and mother Kata Ivancevic. Memory eternal.

We gather to honor the life of Rada Ivančević Holden, a woman whose spirit burned bright and whose love touched so many. Born in Lika, she carried the beauty and resilience of her homeland into every corner of the world she called home.

Rada's journey took her to Chicago for nearly two decades, where she built a life filled with courage, humor, and heart. She then sought warmer skies in Florida, where she embraced new challenges with a fearless, wild spirit. With only a few words of English and a determined hand, she built houses, turning ideas into shelter and warmth. Her willingness to learn and to try the unseen was a testament to her strength and tenacity.

In Florida, she met Eddie Holden, and they shared a brief, joyful marriage.

Though the time together was short, it brought happiness and added another chapter to her rich story.

Her playful spark and adventurous soul will be remembered in the many moments that defined her: the skydiving leap that became a cherished Christmas card, a vivid symbol of her fearless heart and joyful outlook. Rada's zest for life live on in all who had the privilege to know her.

Rada found a home in the warmth of kinship. These relationships, so lovingly nurtured, were the heartbeat of her days, a reminder that family is the compass that guided her through every chapter.

Funeral took place on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 W Grant Avenue, Third Lake IL 60046.
