Simeona Jokanović, 9, passed away in Memphis, Tennessee on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Born on January 16, 2016 in Belgrade, Serbia. Memory eternal.

Dearly beloved daughter of Fr. Marko Jokanović and mother prezvitera Zeljana Jokanović; loving sister of Vasilije and Andrej Fr. Marko Jokanović and mother prezvitera Zeljana Jokanović.

At the age of three, Simeona was treated for neuroblastoma.

She finished first grade in Negotin, a town she loved very much.

She finished second and third grade in Ripanj.

SImeona played basketball, loved painting and creating with her hands, loved music and playing the piano.

For the past year, she has been battling pulmonary fibrosis.

Simeona spent almost her entire life in pain, but with unprecedented courage and faith in God, she fought until the very end.

Simeona’s young, noble, and generous heart will be sorely missed by numerous other family members, classmates and dear friends in Serbia, the USA and worldwide.
