With heavy hearts, we announce that our dear Slobodan (Mitra) Božović, son of the late Jelka (née Jolović), loving husband of the late Petra, born on April 19, 1947, in the village of Borje, Čelebići near Foča, Bosnia and Herzegovina, passed away in East Sarajevo on April 8, 2026, in his 79th year of life. Memory eternal.

Opelo (Serbian Orthodox Funeral Service) will take place at a later date at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 W Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL 60046.

Interment will take place at the Most Holy Mother of God Cemetery.

After the interment, Daća (Serbian Orthodox Memorial Luncheon) will take place at the New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery.
