Ружа Божић, 79 година, одана супруга покојног Ђорђа Божића; вољена мајка Марте Божић и Ђорђа Божића млађег; обожавана бака Марка Пановића, Софије Пановић и Данета Божића; суоснивач Georges Liquor and Deli у Чикагу. Роуз су волели и поштовали безбројни пријатељи, рођаци и Кумови у САД, Канади и иностранству. Велика туга влада у нашим срцима јер нам недостају њена доброта, велико срце и спремност да увек пружи руку помоћи.
Ружа је емигрирала у Сједињене Државе са 6 година. Године 1963. упознала је Џорџа који је постао њен муж, пословни партнер и најбољи пријатељ у животу. Венчали су се у Герију, Индијана, а касније су се преселили у Чикаго где су отворили своју прву од неколико фирми.
У својим позним годинама, Ружа Божић је била цењени члан српске православне цркве Светог Василија Острошког у Метави, у Илиноису, где је, заједно са групом својих пријатеља, била позната као „Убер Баба“ која је сваке недеље заједно са њеним пријатељицама возила у цркву. Била је издржљива и оштроумна до последњег даха. Преминула је мирно у уторак 21. јануара поред своје ћерке Марте.
Родбина и пријатељи опростили су се од покојне Руже у суботу 1. фебруара 2025. Године од 1 сат после подне до 2 сата после подне у Српском Православном Манастиру Св. Сава, 32377 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville, IL 60048

После опела обављена је сахрана на манастирском гробљу.
После сахране послужена је Даћа за покој племените душе Руже Божић у манастиру Нова Грачаница, 35240 N Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL 60046.

Dear Martha & Family! Our heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your beloved mother and grandmother. Rose was a beautiful soul and one of Andjelka’s best friends. They had the best times to Uber to the church and spend Sundays together while they were able to. Later they enjoyed their daily phone calls. Andjelka is heartbroken and Rose will be deeply missed. Do to health reasons Andjelka will not be able to attend the funeral and service, but will be with you all in thoughts and prayers. We all sending you strength and our love during this difficult time. May Rose rest in peace! 🙏🌹🙏

Dear Martha, Please accept my heartfelt sympathies on the passing of your dear mom. She was truly special and I have so many wonderful memories of both of your parents. My family was frequent visitors/customers at “George’s Deli” and they became dear friends with your mom and dad. So sorry to hear. I remember Rose, George, Georgie and Martha as a child and teenager. Fond memories at their business with my dad and mother. Always a good time when we visited. You will be missed. God bless.
