Ruža Božić, 79 godina, odana supruga pokojnog Đorđa Božića; voljena majka Marte Božić i Đorđa Božića mlađeg; obožavana baka Marka Panovića, Sofije Panović i Daneta Božića; suosnivač Georges Liquor and Deli u Čikagu. Rouz su voleli i poštovali bezbrojni prijatelji, rođaci i Kumovi u SAD, Kanadi i inostranstvu. Velika tuga vlada u našim srcima jer nam nedostaju njena dobrota, veliko srce i spremnost da uvek pruži ruku pomoći.
Ruža je emigrirala u Sjedinjene Države sa 6 godina. Godine 1963. upoznala je Džordža koji je postao njen muž, poslovni partner i najbolji prijatelj u životu. Venčali su se u Geriju, Indijana, a kasnije su se preselili u Čikago gde su otvorili svoju prvu od nekoliko firmi.
U svojim poznim godinama, Ruža Božić je bila cenjeni član srpske pravoslavne crkve Svetog Vasilija Ostroškog u Metavi, u Ilinoisu, gde je, zajedno sa grupom svojih prijatelja, bila poznata kao „Uber Baba“ koja je svake nedelje zajedno sa njenim prijateljicama vozila u crkvu. Bila je izdržljiva i oštroumna do poslednjeg daha. Preminula je mirno u utorak 21. januara pored svoje ćerke Marte.
Rodbina i prijatelji oprostili su se od pokojne Ruže u subotu 1. februara 2025. Godine od 1 sat posle podne do 2 sata posle podne u Srpskom Pravoslavnom Manastiru Sv. Sava, 32377 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville, IL 60048
Opelo je održano u subotu 1. februara 2025. Godine u 2 sata posle podne u Srpskom Pravoslavnom Manastiru Sv. Sava,
Posle opela obavljena je sahrana na manastirskom groblju.
Posle sahrane poslužena je Daća za pokoj plemenite duše Ruže Božić u manastiru Nova Gračanica, 35240 N Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL 60046.

Dear Martha & Family! Our heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your beloved mother and grandmother. Rose was a beautiful soul and one of Andjelka’s best friends. They had the best times to Uber to the church and spend Sundays together while they were able to. Later they enjoyed their daily phone calls. Andjelka is heartbroken and Rose will be deeply missed. Do to health reasons Andjelka will not be able to attend the funeral and service, but will be with you all in thoughts and prayers. We all sending you strength and our love during this difficult time. May Rose rest in peace! 🙏🌹🙏

Dear Martha, Please accept my heartfelt sympathies on the passing of your dear mom. She was truly special and I have so many wonderful memories of both of your parents. My family was frequent visitors/customers at “George’s Deli” and they became dear friends with your mom and dad. So sorry to hear. I remember Rose, George, Georgie and Martha as a child and teenager. Fond memories at their business with my dad and mother. Always a good time when we visited. You will be missed. God bless.
